STEM stands for the four specific disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM takes a different route from the traditional approach in that it teaches STEM subjects into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
There are plenty of amazing jobs under STEM that will innovate on the present and define the future. Best of all, STEM jobs pay well with a median hourly average pay of $38.85. Some jobs under STEM include civil engineers, industrial psychologists, data scientists, and computer network architects.
STEM is so important because the industries of manufacturing, health care, and food production rely heavily on it. As of date, there are 2.4 million STEM jobs that remain unfilled. Added to this, there is an underrepresentation of women and minorities in the STEM fields.
The government and some institutions understand this shortfall and find solutions by generating interest in STEM among child learners. ACM-W Scholarships for Women
Women who want to attend a research conference can get funding to travel abroad. You must be an undergraduate or graduate degree student in computer science or a related field who need financial assistance. The scholarship award for those who will be attending conferences in the United States or Canada is $600. Scholars attending conferences outside North America are awarded $1,200. You will need a letter of recommendation from a school authority, such as a dean or advisor.

The College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Excellence Award is available to full-time juniors and seniors enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Montana State University, Billings. John C. and Helen Voelker Scholarship
The John C. and Helen Voelker Scholarship is available to full-time students at Montana State University, Billings. The students must be a past or present employee of Westpark Village Retirement Center with at least one year of satisfactory work experience to qualify for this award. A minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need are also required. Preference will be given to science majors. The scholarship amount awarded is $225.
