Hi, I have done my bachelor’s degree in computer science. I want to do my master’s in Data Science graduate Programs at the University of California-San Diego. Do I have to submit my resume for admission?

For the Data Science graduate program at the University of California-San Diego, the GRE is ONLY recommended for those with less than two years of work experience. If the applicant has more than two years of work experience, then there is NO need to report GRE scores as they will not affect the application.
Other admission requirements for the Data Science graduate program at the University of California are listed below:
1.English Proficiency Exams
A test of English language proficiency is required for international applicants whose native language is not English and who have not studied full-time for one uninterrupted academic year at a university-level institution in which English is the language of instruction and in a country where English is a dominant language.
The following test(s) are accepted by the department:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
2. Letters of Recommendation
A minimum of two letters of recommendation is required. But, three letters of recommendation are preferred by the department.
3. Statement of Purpose
The Statement of Purpose is required for admission.it should briefly describe the reasons and goals for applying to the program (4-6 sentences).

5. Additional Requirements
- Two years of professional work experience post bachelor’s degree recommended.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or other Science field preferred.
Application Deadline for Master’s degree programs at the University of California-San Diego in Data Science for Fall term is May 5.
