Typically in addition to certain prerequisite courses, minimum GPA, and standard documents of application such as personal statements, undergraduate transcripts, and letters of recommendation, the MSW admissions program requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school.

Full-time MSW programs usually last for 2 years, while part-time MSW programs can take from 2.5 to 4 years, depending on the number of classes. In as little as 12 months, students with a BSW can complete a state of advanced MSW.
