I’ve recently completed my bachelors degree and I’m looking into pursuing my masters degree. After spending some time looking for the best computer science masters programs, I’ve chosen Yale University as the best fit for me. Since I have decided to go for Yale, I want to know the computer science admission requirements and how I can increase my chances of being accepted..

Furthermore, is there any minimum GRE score requirement for MS in computer science and engineering for the university? What are other basic things which should be kept in mind before applying?

Yale University’s computer science and engineering graduate degree program is actually one of the best in the country. It’s great that you’re looking into that school.

The basic things you will need to apply to Yale University’s graduate programs are a bachelor’s degree, a statement of purpose, transcripts, an application form, GRE scores, 3 letters of recommendation, and any special requirements from your choice of program.

Although Yale University doesn’t have a minimum GRE score requirement, they have only admitted students whose GRE scores reached the 90th percentile in the three sections of the test. In terms of GPA, there is no minimum requirement. However, it’s best to have high grades as well.

If you’re a foreign student, you may be required to take TOEFL or IELTS. Yale places importance on the ability to communicate in the English language as they will become TAs and would have to learn how to educate others.

That’s great! Yale University has a good reputation in the computer science and engineering field.

As most colleges, Yale doesn’t have a minimum GRE score requirement. However, they do admit students who are meet the criteria of scoring in the 90th percentile or higher for the verbal, quantitative, and analytics sections of the test.

If you didn’t complete you undergraduate degree in the US, you may be required to take the TOEFL and score at least a 26 on the speaking portion of the exam. It’s also possible for you not to take the test if you are from a predominantly English speaking country like Australia or England.

Other basic requirements are three letters of recommendation, transcripts, a statement of purpose, and your test scores.
