I took the GRE test one year ago, and I managed to get decent scores for the different parts of the test. I wasn’t able to apply last year since I ran into some financial problems, but I was wondering if maybe the scores I got isn’t as high as I think it is now. Since I want to apply at Brandeis University for Computer Science and Engineering, I wanted to know what their minimum GRE score requirement is. Beyond that, what are the other general requirements to get in?

Test Scores – Admission department prefers that a Ph.D applicant should have 85% in verbal section and 95% in quantitative section. Moreover, for Masters degree applicants, there is no minimum GRE mentioned on the website, but it is recommended that to succeed in the admission process, an applicant must have strong score in all the categories of the GRE.
Application Fee – A fee of USD 75 is to be paid along with the application.
Letters of recommendation – Two letters of recommendation are required to be submitted electronically for Masters in Computer Science Program and Three letters are required for Ph.D in computer science. Letters should be from someone who are familiar with the skills and abilities of the applicant.
Transcripts – Unofficial copies of all the transcripts received from every college or university attended previously are required. Official transcripts should not be sent to the office unless the student is admitted.
Statement of Purpose – An essay type statement of purpose written by the applicant form part of the application. This statement shall indicate the reasons of pursuing the graduate studies and prospective goals and objectives of the applicants.
CV – Latest updated resume’ of the applicant shall be attached with the application.

Usually, graduate programs for computer science and engineering in universities, like Brandeis University, they don’t have a minimum GRE score requirement. However, it’s best to be above the 60th percentile for verbal and 80th percentile for quantitative.
To enter Brandeis University’s masters program in Computer science and engineering, you will need to have a couple letters of recommendation, fill in the application form for the graduate program, copy of your transcripts, statement of purpose and your CV.
