1. Carl F. H. Henry Religious Studies Scholarship for Master’s Students

This scholarship is available to master’s-level students who have an incoming GPA of 3.75 or higher and display potential to make a significant contribution in the evangelical community. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA and enroll in at least 10 residential hours each semester while at Trinity.

2. TEDS Dean’s Religious Studies Scholarship – Master’s Only

Eligibility : A 3.2 minimum GPA is one of the requirements to get this scholarship. The scholarship is offered for masters level students only. Students in need of financial aid are automatically considered for this award. The award is renewable.

3. Khyentse Foundation of Translation Studies Religious Studies Scholarships- Master of Arts

Eligibility: Students who are enrolled in a program of translation studies or Buddhist philosophy and are on track to become translators or are currently working as translators. Candidates must already have some translation experience and be enrolled in an advanced degree program (Master of Arts, Ph.D., or MPhil).

4. TEDS Leadership Religious Studies Scholarship

Eligibility : Master’s-level students with evidence of outstanding leadership potential in the evangelical community will be awarded this scholarship. The recommendation is made by the Admissions staff based on previous leadership experience. Students who apply for financial aid qualify. The award is renewable.

5. TEDS Ruud Religious Studies Scholarship

Eligibility : Master’s-level students who have an incoming GPA of 3.5 or higher and display strategic leadership potential are given this religious scholarship. A 3.25 GPA and enrollment in at least 10 residential hours each semester while at Trinity is a requirement. Students who apply for financial aid are automatically considered for the award.

6. Experiential Education and Jewish Cultural Arts Tuition Support Fund

Eligibility: Experiential Education & Jewish Cultural Arts (EE/JCA) offered in George Washington University is the only master’s program of its kind in the United States. An intensive 13-month, cross-disciplinary curriculum combining coursework in Jewish cultural arts, experiential education, and museum education comprises the entire program. After completion, graduates can have careers in Jewish museums and arts institutions. Qualified applicants can receive up to 85 percent tuition support. The scholarship is merit-based and is awarded to full-time students only.

This scholarship amount for religious studies is one of the highest awards we have found so far.

7. Jewish United Fund Merit Scholarship Program

This Religious studies scholarship is an annual merit scholarships are given to high school, college and graduate students by The Jewish United Fund. They must demonstrate significant leadership skills. Applicants must be no older than 23 years old and enrolled in a college or graduate program. They must reside or attend school in metropolitan Chicago.

8. United Methodist GBHEM Doctorate Level Religious Studies Scholarships – Master’s Only

Eligibility: Being a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA person and an active member of The United Methodist Church for at least one year are requirements to get this Religious studies scholarship. Applicants must be working on a masters degree and be enrolled in a doctoral program for ministry. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is also required.

9. Kaiser, Meyer, & Norton Ph.D. Religious Studies Scholarships

Eligibility: The Kaiser, Meyer, and Norton Scholarships are full-tuition scholarships that are awarded to the top three applicants in biblical concentrations, theological concentrations, and intercultural/education concentrations. Recipients are selected by the Ph.D. and Admissions committees on merit demonstrated through application materials. Award amount is approximately $15,000 per year (renewable for a second year) and will cover all tuition and fees incurred during coursework.

10. Ph.D. Robert D. Orr Endowed Religious Studies Fellowship – Phd programs

Eligibility: Full-time Ph.D. students who are committed to exploring the implications of biblical and theological perspectives for engaging medicine and technology. It is not expected that Orr Fellowship recipients will direct any of their doctoral studies or dissertation toward the study of bioethics; rather, this fellowship provides an opportunity to supplement the recipient’s doctoral experience with an additional sub specialization.
