Scholarship program for students who wish to enroll in a Computer Science Masters
As computer science technologies and systems increasingly dominate every area of modern life, graduates in this field are likely to find themselves in ever higher demand. As this is an evolving subject which has more opportunities, grows scope, and popularity. There are also growing numbers of dedicated scholarship for computer science students on offer, including funding to study computer science at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
Scholarship for graduate students can be the difference between earning an advanced degree and wrapping-up your education at the bachelor’s level. Colleges have different resources and financial aid policies, so your net price will vary from institution to institution. Also, special circumstances are considered by financial aid offices on a case-by-case basis.
The calculator is provided to measure the financial strength of your family and uses other facts you provide to estimate the number of grants, scholarships, and other financial aid that is likely to be available to you. Your net price is the difference between the amount and the cost of attendance. The calculator is designed to give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a college freshman attending school full-time in the academic year indicated. It is a tool that we hope will give you a clear picture of options and opportunities so you can make more informed decisions about your college choices.
The funds you receive are not required to be paid back. But while scholarships are often merit-based, rewarding exemplary performance in academics, athletics, or community services, grants are more likely to be need-based, making you eligible, even if you are not a top performer.
Some graduate student grants are tied to specific functions, like advancing particular educational areas like teaching, nursing, and other high-demand fields. These subject-specific grants address vocational areas that need highly qualified people.
So that the student’s career goals include a specialized health care role, or advanced technical position, to find grant funding that specifically supports your graduate school field of study. Minorities and other groups benefit from graduate school grants that are designed specifically to promote their causes. Women are aided by gender-specific grants that strive to increase graduate school enrollment among female students.
Financing of education is based on the cost of living as follows
The cost of living in different parts of the United States also varies. In general, living in urban areas (in or near a big city) is more expensive than living in smaller towns or rural areas. Renting an apartment in a big city can cost twice as much as it does in a smaller town because there is such high demand for housing in large U.S. cities. Likewise, food, clothing, entertainment, and other living expenses may be more expensive in a city.
The cost of higher education in the United States rises year after year, and many students are finding that they are unable to support themselves. There are several other avenues that you can explore when looking for sources of funding for your education.
Many U.S. colleges and universities offer limited financial aid for international students through their financial aid offices. In general, however, there is much less money available for undergraduate study in the United States than there is for graduate study. Private institutions can sometimes discount or reduce the costs of tuition. Public institutions seldom have this particular option.
In some instances, it may be possible for you to participate in a formal exchange between your home institution and the institution you wish to attend in the United States. You can get more information on such exchanges by contacting the international student offices at the U.S. institution or by contacting the corresponding office at your institution. This kind of person-for-person exchange can reduce expenses.
