The university announced that the GRE requirement is temporarily suspended due to the challenges faced by many students by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Master’s degree in computer science requires 10 courses that have been fully developed online. The tuition is $10,000 (30 credits at $333 each).
The degree will be available on the edX website. The launch date of the program was August 26, 2020.
“The GRE prerequisite for all candidates has officially been suspended for the Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022 semesters,” confirmed by the university.
The University of Texas at Austin revealed a $10,000 online Master’s degree in Computers this week that does not require a GRE test to apply. “It’s a big step towards growing access to education,” stated Anant Agarwal, CEO of edX.org.
