Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs at Auburn University

MS in Data Science and Engineering - GRE Required

The admission requirements for MS in Data Science and Engineering (On-Campus or Online) are:

  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution or provide proof of equivalent training from a recognized academic institution outside the United States. 
  • The applicant must be in good standing at the institution last attended.
  • The applicant must submit standardized examination scores (GRE or GMAT)
  • a GPA of at least 2.75 on all undergraduate coursework at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree
  • Unofficial transcript(s) from all institutions that were attended. 

Master of Accountancy Online: GMAT required.

Admission Requirements for Master of Accountancy Online:

  • Hold a four-year, regionally accredited bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution.
  • GMAT scores are required. GMAT waivers are available.

Master of Science in Information Systems: GMAT required.

Admission Requirements for Master of Science in Information Systems:

  • Official undergraduate university transcripts
  • Official GMAT score (preferred) or GRE score
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Résumé
  • Personal Statement

Food Science

Admission requirements for graduate program in Food Science at Auburn University are:

1.A bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, chemistry, biology, food engineering, or allied sciences from a recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.

2.Official copies of all college transcripts.

3.Three letters of recommendation.

4.A resume.

5.A statement of purpose.

6.The GRE is not required for graduate program in Food Science at Auburn University.

7.TOEFL scores for international applicants.

Graduate Certificate in Construction Management

The Executive Integrated Processes Certificate in Construction Management is a 12 credit program that can be started once the student has completed the Executive Certificate in Construction Management with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

No GRE scores required for this program.

Request certified copies of transcripts from all previously attended educational institutions.

Provide 3 letters of recommendation as requested on the Graduate School website.

Submit a Statement of Purpose (1500 words or less) explaining your motivation for seeking a graduate degree in Building Construction at Auburn University.

Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology

The admission requirements for Speech-Language Pathology graduate program includes the following:

1. Minimum 3.0 GPA; however, the students we accept to our program typically have much higher GPAs. Students who are admitted to this program have an average GPA of 3.6 or higher and have an average GRE score of 300. Writing scores should be higher than 3.

2. GRE Scores. Submit scores to both Auburn University Graduate School and CSDCAS.

3. Three professional letters of recommendation submitted electronically through CSDCAS

4. A 30-second video that addresses the following: Describe a time you faced a challenge and how you overcame any setbacks associated with that challenge.

5. Apply online to AU’s Graduate School and submit paymen

6. Official transcripts from every college or university attended must be sent to CSDCAS

7. Official transcripts from every college or university attended must be sent to CSDCAS

January 15th is the annual deadline for applications to the graduate program. To be considered for admission, all materials need to be submitted to AU and the CSDCAS no later than January 15th.
