The program is open to students pursing the major in either Earth Environmental Sciences (EES) or Environmental Analysis Policy (EAP). The MS is awarded in Remote Sensing Geospatial Sciences by the Graduate School of Arts Sciences (GRS).
Students receive the BA and MS degrees simultaneously.
Students in the Remote Sensing Geospatial Sciences BA MS program are required to complete a total of 38 courses (152 credits) while fulfilling all the requirements for both the CAS BA and the GRS MS programs.
Students may count two 4-credit courses toward the fulfillment of both degrees.
Courses at the 400 600 level that fulfill both BA and MS requirements may count toward both programs, but they must be taken at the 600 level.
In conjunction with the MS in Remote Sensing Geospatial Sciences, students are also encouraged to complete departmental honors in the major requirements during their final year of study.
