Environmental Studies

Admission to the Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies Program at CSUF is competitive.

1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

2. Good standing at the last attended college.

3. A minimum grade-point average of 3.0 in the last 60 units of attempted coursework.

4. Two (2) letters of recommendation.

5. The GRE is not required for Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies Program at CSUF.

6. For International students, a minimum score of 550 (TOEFL, paper-based), 80 iBT, or 6.5 (IELTS) is required.

MS in Accountancy

Prerequisites and Admission Requirements for Master of Science (MS) in Accountancy at Cal State Fullerton's business college

1. GMAT or GRE not required, but strongly recommended for applicants with GPAs of less than 3.3 on a 4.0 scale for Master of Science (MS) in Accountancy at Cal State Fullerton's business college.

Master Public Health - No GRE

Admission requirements for Master Public Health

  • Official transcript from the college or university from which you earned your bachelor's degree sent directly to the CSUF Office of Admissions.
  • Two letters of recommendation. At least one letter should come from a professor or other academic professional who can attest to your academic accomplishments and potential.
  • A statement of purpose. In 300-500 words, describe your path to public health and how our MPH program relates to your professional goals.
  • A current resume or curriculum vitae (CV). Please include publications and conference presentations (if any).
  • Completion of 3 units of statistics and/or research methods (appropriate courses include: statistics, epidemiology, research methods, calculus, etc.) with a grade B or better.
  • Appropriate educational background for the public health program.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.7.
  • Paid or volunteer experience in public health, education, or related health areas.
  • Interview, upon request of the department.

Note - GRE score is not required.

Educational Leadership Doctoral Program - No GRE

  1. Candidates should possess a bachelor's and master's degree from accredited higher education institutions, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in upper division and graduate coursework.
  2. Prospective students should have the necessary background and relevant experience in educational leadership that will enable them to benefit from the program.
  3. Applicants must demonstrate their potential and proficiency in educational leadership, backed by a successful track record in areas such as school, postsecondary, community, or policy leadership.
  4. Candidates are expected to showcase their academic excellence, problem-solving skills, and a keen interest in critically evaluating and improving existing educational policies and practices.
  5. The application requires three confidential recommendations attesting to the candidate's leadership abilities and scholarly qualifications.
  6. A written statement of purpose should be provided, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges confronting public schools or community colleges in California.
  7. A comprehensive professional resume, which should also include any proficiency in a second language, is necessary for the application.
  8. Examples of professional writing should be submitted as part of the application materials.
  9. GRE scores are not required for admission.
