The mission of the Digital Humanities program at Concordia University Ann Arbor is to foster inter-disciplinary knowledge through the analysis and creation of digital texts, promote life-long learning, and equip students with the technological skills required for the global job market.

The digital humanities is a rapidly growing field of study that blends life-long learning with the development of 21st century technological skills required for the global job market. Many businesses, schools, and churches rely on digital technologies such as data visualization, data mining, and social media to make informed business decisions, market via social media, improve employee productivity, and . The CUAA digital humanities program equips students with these digital and technical skills to be used in an ethical and humane manner in order to thrive in the workplace.

In completing the Masters of Arts in the Digital Humanities, students will be able to do the following.

After completing all their coursework, students have the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge by either completing a practicum or a thesis. Practicums may be completed at a student place of employment in which s he completes a special project that focuses on a topic introduced in coursework. The project will be grounded in current research but is a practical and hands-on project.

The thesis requires in-depth research on a topic of choice and involves writing an academic paper or a multimodal compositions.

The freedom to research areas of self-interest within the humanities.

The digital humanities program is offered online through our sister campus in Ann Arbor, MI.

All students applying for admission to the program must have:.

Students, who have earned graduate credits at a different institution or in a different CUWAA graduate program, may transfer up to six academic credits of work.
