The Master of Science in Information Systems Technology program at George Washington University is intended for information systems technology professionals who are currently employed and want to change careers. Students learn how to blend information systems technological competence and management abilities to effectively implement business solutions through dynamic, hands-on laboratory and classroom-based courses.

It is a 33-credit program comprising 12 credits of elective courses and 21 credits of core courses. Furthermore, students need to finish up to six credits of required foundation courses in database architecture and applications, computer programming languages, and these subjects. 

Both full-time and part-time education are options for degree completion for students. Classes are available online and at GW's Foggy Bottom Campus during the day, night, and weekend. There is a hybrid format that combines online and on-campus learning opportunities. The average full-time student will need 18 to 24 months to finish their degree requirements. Students enrolled part-time usually finish the course of study in 24 to 36 months.
