University of Arkansas Grantham was founded in 1951 with a main campus in Southern California. In 2021, Grantham University joined the University of Arkansas System and officially became the University of Arkansas Grantham. The University aims to provide affordable and flexible education to adult learners. The university has designed its programs in a way that enables students to accomplish their personal, professional goals and social obligations. 

University of Arkansas Grantham is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
