To be considered for admission to the Master of Business Administration program, students must the following information. When this information is received, the Admissions Committee will act on the application.
Two recommendation forms, preferably including at least one academic reference. Academic reference may be replaced by a second professional reference if the applicant is three years removed from degree completion.
Graduate credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions may be transferable to Huntington University graduate programs. Generally, such credits must be no older than 10 years and must represent courses that can reasonably substitute for courses in the Huntington University graduate program. Students will be asked to provide relevant materials for their transfer courses. Students in the MBA program may transfer in a maximum of 6 credit hours. Although credits may transfer, no transfer grades are recorded nor counted in the cumulative grade point average.
International students are required to be onsite one night each week with the remaining coursework completed online. All other MBA students have the option to complete their participation credit through attending class onsite one night each week, attending synchronously online, or through asynchronous participation.
The HyFlex modality allows MBA students freedom to flex between online and in-person classes. Students can attend in-person at our Huntington, Indiana, downtown business incubator site one night per week. Students may also attend on their own time through weekly asynchronous workshop activities. HyFlex allows students to flex between these three options from week to week for a customized MBA experience.
All MBA management track courses will be held using the HyFlex modality. Certificate students must attend weekly synchronous classes one time per week. Each class session is two and a half hours. Additionally, each student must log 10 hours of mentor coaching.
The Huntington University Leadership Coaching Certificate, in partnership with the Coach Approach Skill Training (CAST), provides 60 hours of coach training and 10 hours of mentor coaching required by ICF.
Huntington University Leadership Coaching Certificate graduates have met the 60 hours of training and 10 hours of mentor coaching requirements for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. Once students complete all required coursework, 10 Mentor Coaching hours are required to pursue ICF certification. Huntington University will assist students in completing these hours, and the cost is included in tuition. Most students complete the Mentor Coaching hours within six to eight weeks.
The MILE is an opportunity to travel to another country with your cohort for a first-person glances into business in other nations, beyond-the-page insight into international business relations and leadership, and an immersive cultural experience.
The vast majority of cost to attend the MILE is included in the tuition costs for both the management and leadership coaching tracks. Students will be responsible for a couple of meals and personal keepsakes.
An alternative global studies course is available for students unable to travel for any reason.
