Graduate Mathematics Certificate
The Graduate Mathematics Certificate is a series of six three-hour graduate courses designed for those seeking the credentials required to teach collegiate courses. These serve as a concentration in the discipline required by many regional accrediting bodies. Prospective students should see this certificate as part of or in addition to holding a master's degree.
In addition to qualifying to teach undergraduate general education and elective math courses, secondary school teachers may also become qualified to instruct advanced placement, dual enrollment, or early college courses.
This graduate certificate provides a broad understanding of the field of mathematics, while strengthening mathematical communication and analysis. As this course set is taught in a Christian environment, it is designed to nurture Christian faith and understanding.
The program can be completed in 12 months with continuous enrollment. There are no course by course graduate-level prerequisites. Selected courses may be taken with permission. The Certificate meets the requirements of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to teach undergraduate-level courses in biology.
