Although my plans shifted during my time at Miami, I came out of the program with several awards, a few publications, a prestigious degree, and a fantastic job as a data scientist. The Physics MS program at Miami did a fantastic job preparing me for a career as a scientist, both as a teacher and as a researcher. The excellent reputation of Miami University school psychology graduate program is known nationwide, which has given me a huge advantage when looking for jobs across the country. I've worked in three states (Ohio, Georgia, and now Hawaii) and I received multiple job offers in each state within a few weeks of posting my resume. We still communicate almost daily in our new roles and having that support system has been crucial to first-year job success.
