Master of Science in Law (MSL) Online Program
The MSL online program is designed for STEM professionals around the world who wish to advance their careers by deepening their understanding of law and business within the STEM context. The online MSL is a part-time program, which can be completed in two to four years. Online students may begin in either the Fall or the Spring and will be required to complete a 2-week online orientation before the start of their first term. Students in the online program receive the exact same degree as students in the residential program. The requirements and structure of the curriculum are the same, with a rich and varied selection of online electives that cover business law and entrepreneurship, intellectual property and patent design, and regulatory analysis and strategy. This program can be completed within 2 to 4 years and is available globally.
The program follows a semester system, splitting each semester into two 8-week terms. There's also an option to take courses during an 8-week summer term. Students can enroll in up to two courses each term. Additionally, at least once during their studies, students need to join a one-week, in-person "Power Week" session held on campus in late Spring.

The Law School administers an extensive program of scholarships and grants, all of which are awarded on a combined basis of financial need and merit. These awards are made available by endowed funds, generous gifts from alumni, and general funds from the University. To receive full consideration for scholarship assistance, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid must receive your complete financial aid application by the program priority deadline (or, if admitted after the priority deadline, by the separate deadline provided to you). Northwestern Pritzker School of Law does not award any conditional scholarships.
