Approximately 40 percent of Berkeley Executive MBA students rely on some form of financial assistance, including loans. The Berkeley Haas Financial Aid Office helps EMBA students efficiently secure the best federal, institutional, and outside funding to achieve their degrees.

U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to for federal student loans by submitting a FAFSA . The two types of loans available are the Federal Direct Loan and the Federal Graduate PLUS Loan. U.S. citizens and Permanent Resident students can borrow private loans instead or a combination of federal or private loans.

Any student may for private loans. Many private lenders offer variable rates lower than the federal loans and also offer zero fees. International students are eligible to for private loans, usually with a U.S. citizen co-signer.

Students who work in nonprofit or public service may be eligible for the federal Public Loan Forgiveness (PLF) Program. Eligible loans may be forgiven after 120 qualifying monthly payments while working full-time for a qualifying employer. The PLF program is administered by Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Education.
