LL.M. Executive Track

law

The LL.M. executive track at the University of California-Berkeley offers a unique way to earn the same LL.M. degree as the traditional track. However, it's more flexible. Instead of taking many courses at once during a regular semester, students on the executive track take just 1 or 2 courses every few weeks. After these few weeks, they immediately take exams. This structure allows students to focus on fewer courses at a time and manage their schedules more easily.

This program makes our school year shorter and more focused. Students study just a few subjects at once, but in great detail, for a challenging and deep learning experience. After taking two mandatory courses, students can choose any elective courses they like. Those on the executive track study full-time over the summer at Berkeley. Students can pick when to start and finish, leading to a summer stay in Berkeley lasting between 10 to 13 weeks. To get their degree, students need to spend two summers in a row (from May to August) in Berkeley, each lasting either 10 or 13 weeks.
