University of California-Irvine requires GRE scores to be submitted for 31 Programs.

University of California-Irvine gre score requirements for graduate programs are:

The graduate application is available in early September.

Most programs require official GRE test scores, however, a few do not.

International applicants may have additional requirements such as English language proficiency tests.

Applicant will need to submit a separate online application, application fee and letters of recommendation for each program. Applicant only need to submit test scores, such as GRE or TOEFL, once. Please note that applicant cannot apply to different degree levels for the same program.

The Statement of Purpose should focus on their academic research background and interests. The Personal History Statement essay should focus on their personal background and any challenges or obstacles applicant may have encountered in their academic journey and how applicant overcame them.

Checks are not accepted for payment of the application fee.

Eligibility is based on program participation, financial need or US veteran status and is determined by completion of the online graduate application. If based on information provided on the graduate application, an applicant is determined to be eligible to apply for a waiver, instructions will be presented on the application itself. Requests for fee waivers are reviewed after the graduate application has been submitted. If their request for a waiver is denied and if applicant wish their application to be considered for admission, applicant will have to pay the application fee via credit card. Fee waivers are available for Fall quarter admissions only.

There is no minimum campus GRE score requirement.

The University of California-Irvine does not accept MyBest scores for TOEFL applicant must submit all individual test scores.

The University of California-Irvine does NOT accept the TOEFL ITP Plus for China.

All IELTS test centers worldwide are able to send scores electronically to the university institution.

IELTS -overall minimum score of 7 and no scores less than 6 on any individual module.

The University of California-Irvine accept the IELTS Indicator test. The same minimum test score requirements apply.

If English is not the sole language of instruction listed or if no language is listed at all, the waiver does not apply and applicant are requred to take and pass an approved English proficiency test

Provisional admission refers only to those students admitted prior to providing their final transcript showing degree conferral to the Graduate Division. Students admitted provisionally are required to provide their final transcript showing degree conferral as soon as possible after being offered admission and submission of a positive SIR

This will allow staff to focus on processing application decisions during the busy admissions season. Letters will also be available on their application status page.

Each program has its own schedule for making admissions decisions. A general deadline for admission offers is April 15.

After their program offers applicant admission, they will notify the Graduate Division of their offer.

In the official admission offer letter that applicant receive from the Graduate Division, applicant will find a link to complete the SIR electronically. If their admissions offer was after April 15, please SIR as soon as possible.

The Statement of Legal Residence allows the Registrar to determine their status as Resident or non-Resident for purposes of assessing tuition and fees.

Please send their official degree posted transcript or official final transcript and official degree certificate AFTER applicant have been admitted and submitted a positive SIR

Their program may also require a final transcript with degree confirmation, so please check with them to see if applicant need to send a second set of documents to them.

ALL new graduate students are required to submit their final transcript with the degree conferral prior to enrolling in classes.

If approved, their program should notify the Graduate Division so that their admissions records can be updated.

Applicant will need to submit a new online application and pay the application fee. Their department may request that applicant submit new letters of recommendation.
