The Master of Accounting program at USC Marshall is a 45-credit program. The program holds STEM certification. Graduates of the Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree are prepared for positions in government, industry, consultancy, financial services, and public accounting. Technical and conceptual knowledge, professional growth, research, lifelong learning, ethical and professional standards, globalization, and diversity are all offered to students through the curriculum. The program offers three specialized tracks including Professional Accounting, Data and Analytics, and Strategic Finance. Some learning outcomes of the master's program include:

  • In the domains of accounting or taxes, students will be proficient in and able to apply discipline-specific knowledge and abilities. The development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as knowledge of the strategic function of accounting in business organizations and society, are all included in this learning outcome.
  • Students will be able to communicate effectively and strategically after taking into account the target audience, the context, and the communication's intended outcome. Students will learn how to collaborate effectively with others to achieve predetermined objectives.
  • Students will be able to learn new knowledge and understand business problems by using pertinent research databases and academic and professional literature.
  • Students will be able to show that they have a global perspective, value variety, and cultural diversity, and understand how these factors affect international business.
