The Master of Arts Program in the Humanities (MAPH) is dedicated to supporting students as they transition into further graduate study or professional employment. Because MAPH is so fast paced, much of this support begins even before students have graduated.

During the MAPH year, we offer the following programs for students interested in continuing their studies in PhD or professional programs:.

Each year MAPH partners with several Chicago cultural, non-profit, and educational institutions to offer a number of internships. These internships are paid opportunities for recent MAPH graduates. Summer internships have included positions with the following Chicago organizations:.

A small group of MAPH graduates are hired every spring to work during the following academic year as MAPH Mentors. As Writing Lectors, they gain teaching experience by teaching writing seminars for first-year College students at the University.
