Kappa Delta Rho Scholarship Non-renewable scholarship, awarded to a rising junior who is a member of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity. Capano Sr. Scholarship Awarded to a student with a demonstrated affiliation with a building industry. Michael Lee Scholarship Awarded to a student who has faced social, economical, and cultural challenges or other life circumstances. Wilson Memorial Scholarship Awarded to diverse students who show academic promise and volunteer service to the community. William Marie Cotty Engineering Scholarship Awarded to a member or former member of the Wilmington Boys' Club or its successor organization who majors in Engineering. Students applying to a study abroad program are automatically considered for these need-based scholarships and are notified of any awards upon being accepted to a study abroad program. External scholarships may be offered by employers, clubs, foundations, community or religious organizations, or other groups. Scholarship monies go unclaimed every year, and they can be awarded to regular students with regular accomplishments, or unique students with unique interests, or unusual students with unusual abilities. UD also provides an external scholarship list with information on scholarships offered by entities who have requested the university share their scholarship opportunities with the university students.
