GRE score required at University of Miami master's degree programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders

University of Miami gre score requirements for graduate programs are:

Required for Communication Studies and Public Relations MA applicants Journalism MA applicants and Interactive Media MFA applicants may send GRE scores or a portfolio Not required for Cinema MFA applicants MS applicants may send GRE or Graduate Management Admission Test scores.

Required for Cinema M.F.A. applicants. Interactive Media M.F.A. applicants may send a portfolio or GRE scores.

The review by International Admissions can take several weeks. The university request international students to and submit all transcripts early for timely decision-making so that there is sufficient time for paperwork related to obtaining a visa if the student is admitted.

The GRE is the Graduate Record Exam. The university require the GRE revised General Test which features questions in Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The university look for a minimum combined verbal and quantitative score of 297. GRE test scores are only valid for five years if applicant have taken the GRE earlier and their scores are older than five years, applicant will need to retake the GRE. Applicant will know their verbal and quantitative scores immediately after completing the exam however for review of their application the university need official GRE scores sent directly to us from ETS. M.S. applicants may submit Graduate Management Admission Test scores in lieu of GRE scores.

The MS in Media Management requires either the GRE or the GMAT unless an applicant is eligible for a waiver.

The GRE is not required for the MFA in Motion Pictures.

The MA in Journalism and the MFA in Interactive Media requires either the GRE or a portfolio.

International applicants are required to submit official English proficiency exam scores. The university accept the TOEFL and IELTS. The university look for a minimum of 90 on the TOEFL and 7.0 for the IELTS.

International students who have received a college degree from a the students.S. institution are exempt from taking the TOEFL or IELTS. International students whose first language is English may be exempt from taking the TOEFL or IELTS. Studying English at a the students.S. institution is not necessarily sufficient to waive the TOEFL or IELTS requirement.

Recommendations from friends are not suitable.

In addition, official transcripts must be submitted to transfer credits, and transferred credits will not be calculated into the University of Miami GPA.
