• The undergraduate programs at the University have an acceptance rate of 18%, indicating that the graduate acceptance rate follows a similar pattern.
• In the 2022 Cohort Year, there were a total of 16,669 applications submitted for the University of Michigan Master’s programs, compared to 16,635 in 2021. However, the number of accepted students varied with 2124 in 2022 and 2465 in 2021.
• For all the Ph.D. programs in 2022, the total number of Applications submitted was 17,454, and the number of students enrolled was 940. In the 2021 cohort year, 18,822 applications were submitted, however, only 1013 students received the final offer.
• According to the University of Michigan Literature, Sciences, and the Arts Graduate Program statistics, the Ph.D. program in EARTH offered by the Earth and Environmental Sciences department in 2021 received 139 applications with offers extended to only 22% of applicants.
