GRE score required at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor master's degree programs in Nursing Science
If applicant apply by the early action deadline of November 1, applicant will receive their admission decision no later than December 24. If applicant apply by the regular decision deadline of February 1, applicant will receive their decision by early April.
All prospective students applying as freshmen must submit the results of either the SAT or the ACT.
Students with strong credentials who are not offered admission may be offered a enrollment waitlist option. With this option, if space becomes available in the university incoming class, the university will make additional admission offers to those who have accepted the enrollment waitlist offer.
Admissions decisions are expected to be released in April.
Due to the large number of applicants interested in the university programs, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor is unable to schedule individual appointments with prospective students. The university strongly recommend applicant sign up to attend an information session where an admissions representative will be available to answer their questions.
Applicant can apply to MSN programs or the post-baccalaureate DNP program prior to completing their BSN. If offered admission, applicant must successfully complete all BSN coursework and be licensed as a registered nurse by at least one political jurisdiction before the start of the term of admission. Applicants are not required to have work experience.
The NursingCAS application is used to determine scholarships applicants do not need to submit additional applications.
Prior applicants have the option to reapply for the same or a different program for subsequent admission terms. It is recommended that applicants update their resume, personal statement, and recommendations for the new application year and new program
The Recruiting Admissions team also offers on-campus and online application information sessions for prospective students to gain information the application and admissions process.
All completed applications will be reviewed holistically by the Admissions Committee. Applicants who submit all required application material will also be required to complete a video assessment in addition to the university online application. The purpose of these interviews is to assess each applicant fit for the program to which they applied and evaluate their understanding of the scope of practice.
Official GRE scores are required and are part of the admission review process to the Ph.D. program. Applicants to the Ph.D. program are encouraged to try and obtain competitive GRE scores prior to applying. This may require taking the GRE than once.
