Project Management Master’s program at University of New Mexico-Main Campus

University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management offers a Master's in project management program. The hybrid program aims to prepare students for technical or managerial positions in project control, project management, or program management in the private or public sector.

For the master's in project management, students must complete at least 30 credits of daytime, in-person instruction. To complete the degree in exactly 11 months, they enroll full-time, taking a course load of 12 credits per semester and 6 credits over the summer. Students receive committed professional support from faculty members.

Students have the chance to apply for a paid student internship with Sandia or Los Alamos National Laboratories during the course of the program. They can apply for courses toward the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and receive credit for them as formal education. There is also another approach that students can take to complete the program. The 4+1 Program allows UNM undergraduate students to start their MSPM studies earlier, ensuring admittance after earning their undergraduate degree and lowering the cost of their graduate degree. Undergraduate students are advised to finish Business Calculus and undergraduate Statistics before applying.
