J.S.D. Degree

Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D.). program admission requirements are:

1.Application Form.

2.applicants must have a first degree in law to be eligible to apply for the J.S.D.

3.LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS) Law School Report.

4.Personal Statement.

5.Resume or C.V.

6.Applicants must address their specific interest in Notre Dame Law School via the "Why Notre Dame Law School" statement.

7.Must submit a research proposal for the J.S.D. identifying the subject area for their dissertation along with an indicative bibliography.

8.Academic Writing Sample.

9.Three Letters of Recommendation.

10.Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must take the TOEFL or the IELTS. The TOEFL is the preferred test.The minimum score required for the TOEFL is 100 on the internet-based test. The minimum score required for the IELTS is 7 on a 9 point scale from the Academic Modules.

The application deadline for the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D.) is April 1.

Applicant — Electrical Engineering

At University of Notre Dame, the applicant must decide by April 15 for fall admission and November 1 if applying to start in the spring semester.

Applications are reviewed by the Graduate Admissions Committee as they arrive starting in January.

We do not do conditional admissions.

The Graduate School does not make any pre selection so all materials are evaluated by the Electrical Engineering Admissions Committee.

You will receive an email from Graduate Admissions when the decision is ready to login to SLATE.

We do not release the average GPA of our successful applicants.

We convert GPAs to a 4 scale depending on the system used by the Chinese University.

We require the GRE, and then evaluate each applicant individually, so there is not a minimum GRE or TOEFL score.

We understand that transcripts, scores and recommendation letters take time to come in after the application is made.

My official IELTS score report has been sent electronically but when I log-in into my application, the IELTS status is still showing Received . Also note that unofficial IELTS test score results are good for review of your application however, we cannot make an offer without official scores.

You are welcome to contact professors however, be aware that admissions decisions are made by the Graduate Admissions Committee.

We will require official transcripts only from students who accept our offer. The unofficial transcript will suffice for now.

Accountancy (MSA): GRE required.

Law MA - GRE not required

Applicants must have a first degree in law from an accredited institution outside of the United States, and must submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and TOEFL or IELTS scores (if applicable). The application deadline for the LLM program is February 15, but applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
