Master of Public Administration

Application deadline is February 1. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis depending on available space. Students typically begin the program fall term, but under certain exceptional circumstances, may start mid-year.

The application process for the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is an online process. You will need to create digital copies (in PDF format) of your unofficial transcripts, your statement, and your résumé for uploading. The university encourage you to begin the online application process. You may return to it later to complete the process as you gather the necessary application materials.

Scores on the general test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is optional.

Apply to Counseling Psychology PhD Program

The admission requirements for the Counseling Psychology PhD Program at University of Oregon:

1. Complete the online Graduate Admission Application.

2. Nonrefundable Application Fee: $70 (Domestic Students)/$90 (International Students).

3. Personal statement which describes the goals and purpose in seeking admission to the program.

4. Two (2) letters of reference are required by the application deadline.

5. Resume or Curriculum Vitae.

6. Official transcripts.

7. GRE scores are no longer required for the Counseling Psychology PhD Program at University of Oregon.

8. For international applicants, TOEFL/IELTS scores are required per the UO Graduate School.

Application Deadline for Counseling Psychology PhD Program at University of Oregon is December 1.

Political Science: MA, MS, PhD

For applicants from AACSB accredited institutions, GMAT waived for cumulative GPAs 3.25 and accounting GPAs 3.25 or higher. For cumulative GPAs and accounting GPAs below 3.25, a request for GMAT waiver is available.

Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences - No GRE

Admission Requirements for Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences at University of Oregon:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited four-year U.S. college or university.
  • Alternatively, possess an equivalent credential from a qualifying international institution.
  • The conferred degree must be obtained before the first day of classes at the UO.
  • Meet the Division of Graduate Studies' English Language Proficiency Requirement.
  • International applicants must ensure sufficient English language skills in accordance with U.S. Government regulations.
  • International applicants need to verify the availability of adequate financial support as per U.S. Government regulations.
  • Students with a prior graduate degree in the same level and discipline as the one they are applying for must seek admission through petition to the Division of Graduate Studies.
  • The content of the original degree should significantly differ from the intended degree at UO.
  • Additional admission criteria such as GPA and standardized tests vary by program.
  • These requirements are determined by individual schools and academic departments.
  • Applicants are advised to consult their prospective program for specific details.
  • If there are concerns about eligibility, contact the Division of Graduate Studies for guidance on obtaining a preliminary credential analysis.
