MA Programs in Linguistics and TESOL

In order for your application to be considered complete, the university have provided a checklist of what you will need to submit via the online application:

1. $75 check or payment voucher if you chose to pay your application fee by credit card. You will be asked to pay this fee when you have completed the online application.

2. Upload copies of your undergraduate transcripts and when applicable, graduate transcripts, with your online application. Certified transcripts and translations of all undergraduate and graduate study are required if you are accepted to the program. We will request these certified copies at the time of the formal admission.

3. Three forms/letters of recommendation are required. You should submit the names of three referees with your online application for admission. The recommendation form we ask to be included with each letter of recommendation is available for download as a pdf file once you begin your online application process. Referees should submit their recommendations electronically.

4. Career/Research Statement

5. A Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume is required. We need this information to decide on appropriate financial aid packages.

6. Writing Sample: Because your success in our program will depend on your writing skills, all applicants must submit a sample of written academic work. Preferably this example will be on a linguistic topic, but it need not be. The writing sample should demonstrate your ability in academic prose and argument.

7. If you are applying for the Hispanic Linguistics Program and Spanish is not one of your first languages, you must supply evidence of Spanish proficiency.

The GRE is no longer a requirement for admission to the MA or PhD programs.

Master of Science in Management Information Systems- GRE is optional

Admission Requirements for Master of Science in Management Information Systems:

Master of Science in Accountancy:

Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - No GRE

The admission requirements for the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program are:

  1. Most have a bachelor's degree
  2. Must have a site of practice (e.g. classroom, after-school program, out-of-school learning experience etc.) and/or students or learners to work with when designing and assessing curriculum.
  3. Goal statement
  4. Resume
  5. GRE scores are not required for admission.

MPPM online program

To apply for the MPPM online program, you must submit the following.

1. A résumé.

2. A personal statement outlining your background and your goals for the program (about two double-spaced, typed pages).

3. Two letters of recommendation from past or present supervisors (from paid or volunteer positions you have held).

4. Copies of your undergraduate transcripts (and graduate transcripts, if applicable). You may submit unofficial photocopies at the time of your application; official copies are required if you are admitted and choose to enroll.

5. A nonrefundable $50 application fee.

GRE score is not required for online MPPM applicants.
