Yale University's online/hybrid master's in Physician Assistant program has a track record of producing the highly skilled physician assistants that the country requires. The 28-month curriculum is designed to prepare students to become patient-centered medical practitioners. wherein the first 12 months are primarily devoted to online lectures and assignments covering the various organ systems, such as gastrointestinal, haematologic, and cardiovascular. The final 16 months will be devoted to a pediatric, emergency, and geriatric medicine, during which time students will work to hone their clinical abilities and think about how the knowledge they have acquired applies to actual circumstances.

This program trains students as patient-focused physicians who can choose to learn in their own communities. Each week, students come together in virtual classrooms to converse with teachers and classmates. Course materials are presented using a multimedia approach, emphasizing the systems of the body when studying medicine.

Our Review on Online Master’s Physician Assistant Program

What we liked that that this is hybrid master's program which gives student the flexibility to study online but then also gives them an opportunity to study in-person. The program combines online instruction and coursework with on-campus clinical rotations and three immersions so that students can complete their studies without moving. During the didactic year, the curriculum offers 120+ hours of hands-on patient care experience.

Executive Master of Public Health - Hybrid - No GRE

The admission requirements for the master's program (MPH) are as follows:

  1. A master's degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

For the AP (Advanced Professional) program, the admission requirements are:

  1. A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

For the Executive program, the admission requirements are:

  1. A bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Additionally, for students seeking admission with completion of the third year at an accredited medical, dental, or podiatric school in the United States, specific requirements may apply depending on the program they are applying to.

Online Master’s in Physician Assistant Program - Financial Aid Available

There are three terms every year, and financial aid is given out per term. Only the spring and summer terms will be covered in the initial award letter.

At this time, Yale PA Online does not grant need- or merit-based scholarships. Therefore, students may consider other scholarship options in addition to submitting an application for Title IV federal student loans. Scholarship opportunities can be discovered at the local, state, or federal levels with a little study.
