These social work scholarships are made possible through a number of funding sources, including the University of Utah President’s Office Indian Nations and Tribal Councils practicum agencies the Indian Health Service Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Children’s Bureau of the U.S. Health and Human Services. The scholarship is given to a master’s-level social work student who is a single mother caring for children and who would not be able to attend graduate school without financial assistance.
