This advanced degree commences at all times with a fall semester and consists of 75 credits leading to a professionally accredited Master of Architecture degree. The coursework begins with the final, comprehensive core studio (419) and culminates with the Degree Project. To determine placement into this curriculum, prospective applicants must provide an evaluation of their design portfolio and demonstrate an understanding of their undergraduate architecture studies.

The Master of Science in Architecture degree is a scholarly, research-orientated curriculum. This 36-credit hour program of study is designed for students who are interested in pursuing teaching and research as a career objective. It is a highly individualized program in which a candidate works closely with a faculty mentor to develop a course of study. Research topics and desired faculty advisors must be identified in the applicant’s personal statement when applying. This program is based on our campus in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is not available online. Completion of this program will not make the student a licensed architect.
The Master of Science in Architecture with a Specialization in Interior Design is a research and scholarly-based program. Students that enter this program are working towards careers in interior design research or academic settings. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in interior design to participate in this program. This 36-hour program is an online program designed for interior design professionals to participate in while they work. Students engaged in the program have a wide variety of opportunities for specialization within interior design.
