The Graduate Certificate in Health Programming provides a 12-hour graduate level academic experience. The program involves an in depth study of the methods, theory, approaches and evaluation strategies to health education programs for those that are already working in the field but do not have advanced academic preparation as well as those planning to enter related health fields. All coursework must be approved by the program director. Students must choose the certificate option prior to completing coursework and may not retroactively choose the certificate option based on unsatisfactory progress in the Health Promotion and Wellness Management Master’s Degree option.

By pursuing their master’s degree in Physical Education at UCM, applicant will be able to work at their own pace to complete their degree. Applicant will have every opportunity to challenge and advance their pedagogy skills and knowledge in the areas of Curriculum, Physical Activity Promotion, Behavior Modification, Assessment, Instructional Practices and Special Populations.
Students pursuing the Exercise Science emphasis area must take BIOL 1012, BIOL 1013, and MATH 1030. Apply wellness and exercise principles and practices needed in emergency sports and exercise regimens. Design unique fitness programs based on the acquired knowledge on safety, nutrition, and wellness, to benefit clients in a diverse fitness industry, including adult exercise programs.
