The University of Denver offers a 3-year Ed.S. in School Psychology (SP) program in the Department of 'Teaching & Learning Sciences' that prepares graduates to have careers in School Psychology across a broad range of education, mental health and research settings. Ed.S. in School Psychology (SP) program is based on a scientist–practitioner model with a hands-on, graduated approach to field experiences. Independent field experiences occur every year, with Ed.S. and Ph.D. School Psychology Licensure degree students complete a final year-long internship, which provides additional supervised experience.

The School Psychology Ed.S. program is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists. This program is one of only 14 School Psychology PsyD programs in the country to receive APA accreditation. It is one of only a handful of APA-accredited programs in the country that offers an optional bilingual (Spanish-English) school psychologist concentration.

Admissions Interview: Upon successful completion and review of your application, qualified applicants are invited to attend a required interview. Participation in the interview is mandatory and you will not be accepted into the program without attending. If you are still completing your bachelor degree at the time you apply, admission will be based on your current cumulative GPA, and you will need to re official transcript (showing your conferred degree and final GPA) during your first semester.

If you have completed a master degree, or at least 18 credit hours towards a master degree, the GPA of your master work will be used.

The GRE is optional. You may choose to submit official GRE scores (less than five years old). It is expected that most applicants will not provide GRE scores, but they are optional for those who feel that GRE scores will strengthen their application credentials. It is in no way required applications without GRE scores will receive full review without disadvantage.
