Students seeking the Certificate in Applied Economics through the Economics Finance at the University of North Dakota must satisfy all general requirements set forth by the School of Graduate Studies as well as particular requirements set forth by the Economics Finance. Students may take additional courses in the MSAEPA program (or, other approved programs) for additional credits, if they wish.

The curriculum goes beyond mere number crunching, and includes hands-on research experience in applied econometrics, exposure to large and diverse data sets, and training in statistical programing, causal inference, and the implementation and interpretation of state-of-the-art econometric models. The certificate is designed to both enhance career development in the public and private sectors, and to provide a springboard towards pursuing further graduate degrees.
The Certificate in Applied Econometrics Data Analytics requires the completion of 12 semester hours of coursework. All courses for the certificate must be taken at CU Denver.
No course may be taken than twice.

The courses required for the Graduate Certificate in Applied Econometrics Data Analytics are a module of core courses for the ECON M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. Graduate level ECON credit counted towards the Graduate Certificate may be subsequently counted towards a CU Denver graduate degree in Economics. Certificate students may apply to a gradaute program in economics at any time.
