Online Master's degree in Civil Engineering is offered by 30 US universities. The tuition for the Master's degree can range from $34,500 per year at Lawrence Technological University to $34,500 at Lawrence Technological University.

Your prior education must include a degree in civil engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
When reviewing an application, your academic and professional background will be considered.
If you are an international student, you may have additional admission requirements.
Applicants without a degree in civil engineering may be accepted to the program provided they demonstrate the successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited institution including: Calculus I, Calculus II, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, Physics I, Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Theory of Structures, and Soil Mechanics. Further, such applicants are advised that a first course in the design of steel structures and in the design of reinforced concrete structures are prerequisites for many of the structural engineering elective courses in the program.
Applicants whose prior education does not include the prerequisites listed may still enroll under provisional status, followed by full admission status once they have completed the missing prerequisites.
Ten courses must be completed within five years.
You may either pursue a general civil engineering course of study or choose to focus your studies in one of three areas: geotechnical engineering, ocean and coastal engineering, or structural engineering. A focus area is not required for this program and it does not appear as an official designation on your transcript or diploma. Rather, each focus area contains a unique list of elective courses designed to guide you through the program so you are prepared for advancement in one of these specific fields after graduation.
The general civil engineering curriculum consists of three core courses, four additional courses chosen from the list of civil engineering electives, and three remaining courses selected from any of the civil engineering (e.g. 565.XXX) offerings.
List of electives, and four remaining courses selected from any of the civil engineering (e.g. 565.xxx) offerings.
A maximum of one course may be selected from the Engineering Management program.
Use these helpful course planning and course search tools to help map out your path to degree completion.
If you are not quite ready to commit to a master degree, take a look at pursuing a certificate as an option. You can earn a graduate certificate in 5 courses and earn credits toward a master .
