The Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) offers graduate study under the sponsorship of the Geosciences. The Princeton AOS graduate program emphasizes theoretical studies and numerical model studies of the global climate system, and applicants should have a strong background in natural sciences and mathematics. Graduate work within the Psychology emphasizes preparation for research and teaching in psychology, with specialization in the following broad areas: cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, language, learning and memory, perception and cognition, the psychology of inequality, social neuroscience, social psychology, and systems neuroscience.
