Students who successfully complete three courses within Tufts University certificate programs will earn a Certificate of Graduate Studies. Personal statement please describe your reasons for applying and indicate how this course certificate program will enhance your career or help you in the future. All applications are reviewed by the Friedman School Graduate Certificate Program Admissions Committee. All certificate courses are taught at the graduate level. Dietetic Internship This innovative, distance-learning and computer-based internship certificate program prepares students for entry-level practice as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN). Graduate Certificate in Health Coaching Nutrition Sciences program provides students and professionals with the knowledge and skills to facilitate positive behavior change to promote health and reduce chronic disease risk and experience. The Graduate Certificate in Health Coaching provides students and professionals working in health care with the knowledge and skills to facilitate positive behavior change to promote health and reduce chronic disease risk and experience. This graduate certificate program allows students to take courses (18 credit hours) specializing in health coaching to enhance their academic and professional experience. Students may work towards a graduate certificate in addition to pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree or students may enroll in this stand-alone graduate certificate program for the purpose of personal and professional development. In some programs, certificate program course credit can be applied toward a graduate degree. ALL graduate certificate program students must achieve a cumulative 3.0 (B) grade point average in all graduate certificate courses attempted in order for the graduate certificate to be granted. Admission to the Health Coaching Certificate Program is determined by the satisfactory completion of the following:. The Advanced Certificate in Nutrition Program is offered by the Graduate Nutrition Program in the Family Medicine, to students in the PA Post-Professional Program at NO additional tuition cost. The Advanced Certificate Program is a part time 15 credit online program. Students must be matriculated in both the PA Post-Professional Masters Program and the Advanced Certificate program simultaneously in order to be awarded both the MS degree and the Advanced Certificate upon completion of all required coursework. Students who are interested in the Advanced Certificate Program in Nutrition can complete up to 6 nutrition program credits prior to matriculation into the Advanced Certificate Program. Students are not allowed to complete the required courses and THEN Advanced Certificate Program. Advisors from both the PA Post-Professional Masters Program and the Advanced Certificate Program are available to assist with course selection. Five courses, to include the PA PPMP core course of HAP 552 Evidence Based Medicine, are required in the Advanced Certificate Program. Four approved nutrition courses will fulfill both the elective requirements of the PA Post-Professional Program and the Advanced Certificate Program. Separate applications must be completed for the PA Post-Professional Masters Program and the Advanced Certificate Program.

Students will gain the exercise knowledge culminating in an internship in Exercise Science but have the opportunity to complete a certificate in another field, by using these classes in your electives. The Food Science and Nutrition offers three certificate programs through Illinois Tech: Food Safety and Technology, Food Process Engineering, and Food Processing Specialist. Certificate programs provide a student with post baccalaureate knowledge in a specialized area. Students in these programs register as certificate students.
