Gannon University and the Occupational Therapy Department receives and reviews applications for the professional entry-level Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy program and all applicant credentials exclusively through the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS), provided by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). This includes information from all previously attended university or college transcripts, letters of recommendation, OT observation hours, personal essay and supplemental materials.

The minimum requirements to be considered for acceptance into the Occupational Therapy program at the graduate level include:.

Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university conferred before beginning the graduate program.

Cumulative prerequisite courses GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. No grade lower than a C will be accepted.

All prerequisite coursework must be completed within the 5 years preceding the MSOT program start-date.

Introduction to Sociology or a course with emphasis on cultural diversity 3 credits.

Please note: The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program starts in the summer with on-line and hybrid coursework (up to 12 credits). Full-time, on campus graduate coursework starts in the fall semester.

Students must have demonstrated efficiency in using tools common to distance education. This might include a learning platform, special courses, or job experience. Students taking an online course at Gannon University will require internet access to utilize Blackboard for their coursework.
