The Oral Medicine Residency Program prepares residents to diagnose and treat medically-related disorders and conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region, including oral mucosal diseases, orofacial pain syndromes and salivary gland disorders and to treat medically complex dental patients. The Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Residency Program is based in both the Division of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and the Pathology Cell Biology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, which are integral parts of Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

The Oral Medicine and Oral Oncology Fellowship Program is a one year, full-time training program for dentists who are committed to developing expertise in oncology and oral health and serving as community leaders. Trainees are co-appointed at HSDM, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Clinical training is based at BWH and DFCI with additional rotations at other Harvard affiliated teaching hospitals as well as community health centers. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with HSDM Fellow Salary Scale.
