The PharmD Graduate Certificate in Gerontology is a unique program for students interested in pursuing geriatric pharmacy practice. Developed in 1990 by the School of Pharmacy and the USC Andrus Gerontology Center, this integrated program prepares students to assume leadership roles in academic, administrative or policy levels in the profession. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is NOT required. Pharmaceutics and Drug Design can be completed successfully during the four years of the PharmD program by taking electives in geriatric pharmacy during the school year and completing one core course in gerontology during each summer.

Our medication therapy management (MTM) graduate certificate is comprised of four 3-credit courses and has been designed to meet the needs of today’s working professionals. The program, which is provided by the College of Pharmacy, focuses on medication therapy management and its business principles, literature review and evaluation, and patient-centered care. If your native language is not English, or if you graduated with a bachelor degree from a non-English speaking country, you will need to take and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or other Graduate Council-approved English language skills test scores.
