As an Master in the Study of Tax Law student, students have access to one of the most comprehensive curricula for advanced tax studies in the country, with over 40 unique courses offered each year. In addition, students receive individualized academic advising and professional development resources, and are eligible to participate in employer recruiting events during the final year of their studies. No additional notation is added on diplomas and transcripts between residential and online courses or degrees for MSL – T students.

All residential course lectures are captured and streamed through the course site within 24 hours of each course meeting, allowing residential and online students to view the same lectures. The program also offers a small number of fully-online courses that include comprehensive modules and a combination of lectures and other supplemental materials. The University of Alabama School of Law offers its Graduate Tax Program leading to the Juris Master Degree upon the completion of 24 semester hours of graduate course work. The curriculum for degree candidates allows for completion of the degree in six semesters, covering two calendar years. But it is possible to take four courses a semester by taking classes four nights a week and finish in one year.
