The Department’s programs in Spanish and Hispanic Culture Studies provide a variety of courses and programs on language, linguistics, literature, and culture culminating in a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, a K-12 Teaching Licensure in Spanish, a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, a Master of Arts in Teaching with concentration in Spanish Education (M.A.T.), and a Master’s of Education degree in Spanish (M.Ed.).The Program also offers a 15-hour Post-Baccalaureate certificate in Advanced Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultural Studies. All Spanish and Hispanic Studies programs place particular emphasis on oral and written communications, reading and literary analysis, and a thorough grounding in the intellectual and cultural histories of Spain and Latin America.
