SMU Graduate Studies in Chemistry
College description: Chemistry plays a key role in solving economic, environmental and societal problems, which are intimately connected with the basic question guarantee the sustainability of our planet. By providing key tools, skills and knowledge, chemical research helps answer many of the important questions facing our society, including the origin of life, mortality, communication, energy, environmental sustainability, and national security. Atoms and molecules. The Chemistry here at SMU has a long history of excellence in research and teaching.

Admission Steps
College description: The M.A. degree is intended primarily to meet the needs of students, such as those working full time in local industry or secondary education, who are seeking an advanced degree with only a small research component. The primary difference between the M.A. degree and the M.S. degree is that a research thesis is required for the M.S. degree. The research required for the M.S. degree is often not feasible for students who work full time or is not of interest to those preparing for a career, for example, in secondary education. To facilitate the educational process, each student has an advisory committee that functions to both advise the student and monitor the student progress.
The minimum GPA for admission consideration for graduate study at the University of Denver is a cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits for the baccalaureate degree. The minimum GPA is a cumulative 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework undertaken.
Program GPA requirement: The minimum GPA for admission consideration for this program is a cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
There is no minimum GRE score the GRE is only one of multiple factors considered.
Chemistry
College description: Below you will find a list of all graduate courses that have been offered.NOTE: Not all of these courses are offered in any given year. This course will provide an introduction to recent research at the interface of chemistry and biology by focusing on seminars given in various departments. Students will read and discuss selected papers from a speaker lab during the week before the seminar, attend the seminar, and then meet with the speakers when they visit. Will be CHM 406.
The university department does not publish minimum score requirements for the GRE exam.
Chemistry Graduate Admissions
College description: Chemistry is the nature of matter, make it, measure it, model it. In that sense chemistry really matters it is essential to explaining all the real world. It is no wonder then that chemistry is called the Central Science. Traditionally, it is divided into subdisciplines, such as organic, inorganic, physical, biological, theoretical, and analytical, but these distinctions blur as it is increasingly appreciated how all of science, let alone chemistry, is interconnected.
GRE Subject Test in Chemistry required.
