Regular J.D. applicants are eligible to if they will have a bachelor’s degree by August of the year they intend to enroll at HLS. The J.D. degree requires three years of full-time study beginning in the fall semester of each year exclusively. Please HLS does not offer a J.D. degree through part-time, distance, online, or summer programs.All completed applications are reviewed in their entirety, with the GPA and standardized test scores as two factors in an overall assessment of academic promise, personal achievement, and potential contribution to the vitality of the student body. Lewis: First, Yale University has no LSAT cutoff, and if applicant look at the university spectrum of numbers, the students will see that the university admit people on the low end of the scale for both the LSAT and GPA. So their LSAT will not, in itself, preclude applicant from admission.
Applicants should take the LSAT only after they have adequately prepared for the exam. Ideally, the LSAT should be taken only once! Further applicants are encouraged to register months in advance for the LSAT to increase their chances of being assigned their first choice test site.LSAC offers LSAT fee waivers and accommodated testing for eligible registrants.Ideally, students and alumni ae should take the LSAT by June, prior to their application year. LSAT prep courses may be helpful but are often times unnecessary and expensive.
