UT College of Liberal Arts:

To apply for admission, you must submit a complete application, which has five main parts: 1) an Application Form (submitted online: see How to Apply), which includes a Statement of Purpose; 2) a Writing Sample; 3) three Letters of Recommendation; 4) official academic Transcripts; and 5) official GRE scores (and TOEFL for international applicants).

Our department does not set any minimum standards for GPA or GRE scores, but the Office of Graduate Studies may reject applicants with very low scores.


Johns Hopkins University

The Cox MBA Admissions committee will consider an exam waiver for SMU-Lyle undergraduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.

All applicants to the M.S. Eng/MBA program must submit GRE or GMAT scores. Even if your engineering program does not require a GRE score for admission, the Cox School of Business does require a GRE or GMAT score to be admitted to the Fast Track MBA program.

The Cox School of Business MBA Admissions Committee may consider a GRE/GMAT waiver for SMU-Lyle undergraduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, but it is NOT guaranteed.

Admission UC Davis Grad Studies

You should not attempt to convert your GPA to a 4.0 scale. Enter your GPA just as it is on your transcript.

Each graduate program determines if the GRE is required. The university does not have a required minimum GRE score, but some graduate programs may post minimum or average scores on their website. Visit the graduate program website to determine if the program requires the GRE and for information on minimum scores.

GRE scores must be sent to UC Davis electronically from ETS. Your GRE scores will be transmitted to UC Davis electronically and matched to your record using the information you provided in your application.

Regardless of what department code you enter, your GRE score will still be matched to your application.

You may take the GRE more than once and self-report multiple exam scores.

I already sent in my official GRE scores but I have retaken the exam and earned new scores.

To apply for admission to a graduate degree program through the College of Engineering, all students will need to submit the following official credentials: a completed application and pay the application fee, transcripts from each college or university they have attended, letters of recommendation, GRE general test results, statement of purpose, and resume.

This includes submitting GRE scores (and TOEFL scores if required).

GRE tests are valid for 5 years.

Cannot waive any applicants of the GRE requirement.

Only the GRE General test is required by the College of Engineering; you are not required to submit any subject test scores.

The College of Engineering does not set a minimum GRE requirement. Each application is evaluated in its entirety and GRE scores, while an important part of the admissions review, is not the only determining factor for admission.

I have taken the GMAT but not the GRE.

The GRE is an admission requirement for all of our graduate programs, including LEAP. The GMAT cannot be substituted for the GRE.

Schools outside the US and Canada will not be required to report the official GPA. You will not be asked to report a GPA for any education completed outside the United States or Canada.


Seton Hall University

In addition to the submission of a TOEFL or IELTS (If English is not the applicant's first language), the admissions committee require a GMAT or GRE score to be submitted. For an applicant with a GPA of 3.0 and above, a competitive score for the GMAT/GRE should be in at least the 30th percentile. For an applicant with a GPA below 3.0, a competitive score for the GMAT/GRE should be in at least the 50th percentile.
