There are also numerous scholarship opportunities through outside sources. Your application to the School of Law is also your application for merit scholarships. Typically, the Office of Admission makes merit scholarship offers at the time of acceptance. The priority deadline to be considered for a merit scholarship for fall enrollment is March 1. The priority deadline to be considered for a merit scholarship for spring enrollment is December 1. Need-based scholarship decisions will be made by the Office of Admission based on financial need. There are no GPA or LSAT score requirements to qualify for need-based scholarship funds. Accepted students who are offered a merit scholarship typically do not also qualify for a need-based scholarship. Applicants for spring or summer admission who wish to be considered for need-based scholarship funds should complete the scholarship application. Applicants for fall admission who wish to be considered for need-based scholarship funds should complete the scholarship application. Students invited to join the program will be eligible for several benefits, including the Presidential Honors Scholarship. The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to to law school and to provide financial assistance to these students. The fund will award $5,000 of financial assistance annually to each scholarship recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school. By first earning the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation, students can enter the graduate program on track to complete the MSFS degree with a concentration in Retirement Planning.
