By combining a comprehensive understanding of business principles with concentrated coursework in aviation, the 36-hour graduate degree explores the intersection of business and flight.

Students will complete the core MBA curriculum as well as 12 credit hours in aviation-focused courses on operations, human error impact, and regulatory processes.

    The Al Danos College of Business Administration uses cutting-edge technology to provide students with specialized facilities and resources that promote hands-on learning. Through our unique class settings, wireless Internet access and frequent updates, we remain forward-reaching in our teaching approach.

    The majority of business courses are taught in Powell and White halls. Wireless access is available throughout the buildings and in the courtyard. Computer laboratories are open to all students in the College of Business. In addition, every classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art computers and projectors some contain SMARTboard technology.

    The laboratory provides one-of-a-kind opportunities designed to perfect their sales and behavioral skills, with role-play rooms equipped with professional video cameras and one-way observation mirrors. The control room houses digital video recording and editing equipment as scenarios are recorded so students may review and improve their performances. The facility is also used for the Annual Bayou Sales Challenge, an intercollegiate sales role-play competition hosted by the College of Business at Nicholls each spring.

    This classroom accommodates 15 Executive MBA students in a boardroom environment and is suitable for case discussions, seminars and lectures. Teaching tools include a viewing monitor that allows interactive writing and recording on the screen, ceiling mounted, surround-sound speakers and a high-resolution projector.

    The 122-seat (with 6 additional handicapped seating) theater-style facility underwent major renovations and is now a state-of-the-art facility with recessed lighting, computer, dual projectors, and a built-in sound system. The tables have wire management built into the legs with enough power hubs for each student.

    Buquet ScholarshipThis scholarship is awarded to one female and one male College of Business student each year. Applicants must have earned at least 75 hours toward their degree, be classified as non-graduating and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipients are selected based on activities, GPA and financial need. Mr. Buquet was the founder of Buquest Distributing Buquet Distributing, a wholesaler of over 250 different brands of beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.

    It is awarded to one management major who has earned between 60 and 89 non-development hours of credit. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipients are selected based on GPA, financial need, involvement in student organizations, and other scholarships and financial aid. Previous recipients of this scholarship are eligible to reapply.

    Northwestern Mutual Financial Network ScholarshipThis scholarship is awarded to a College of Business junior or non-graduating senior. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipients are selected based on GPA, activities and financial need. A one-page essay outlining career goals and interest in financial services is required.

    Mike Bauer Memorial ScholarshipThis scholarship is awarded to outstanding juniors or non-graduating seniors majoring in finance at Nicholls. The Mike Bauer Memorial Scholarship is a fully endowed scholarship and was created by Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bauer in memory of their son, Mike Bauer, who was an economics major at Nicholls. Recipients are selected based on character, academic performance, activities, and financial need. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

    Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Cenac ScholarshipThis scholarship is awarded to a computer information systems junior or non-graduating senior. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA, a minimum 3.5 GPA in CIS courses, and have earned 15 credit hours of courses needed to complete the CIS degree. Selection is based on financial need and contribution to the CIS program. Mr. and Mrs. Cenac were the founders of Cenac Marine, a leader in the towing industry.

    It is awarded to one full time College of Business student with a 3.0 minimum GPA. Applicant must be of junior standing at the time of receipt of the scholarship. Two letters of recommendation must accompany the application.

    Nick and Elaine Fry Endowed ScholarshipThis scholarship will be awarded to a College of Business junior or senior with a declared major in accounting or human resources. Applicants must (1) be a full time student and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (2) be a U.S. citizen and resident of the State of Louisiana.

    Dr. Aaron E.L. Caillouet Memorial AwardThis award was established in memory of Dr. Caillouet, who taught accounting and management courses at Nicholls, as well as ran the Small Business Development Center. It is awarded to an upperclassman in accounting or management.

    J.B. Falgoust Memorial ScholarshipThis scholarship is available to junior-level College of Business students. They must have maintained a 2.0 GPA and show financial need to be eligible for this award.

    Growth shall be measured primarily through total number of students declaring a major within the College, student credit hours (SCHs) attributable to business courses, and revenue from traditional and non-traditional sources. Additionally, these goals are only feasible with the understanding the College and the Accounting Program will continue to maintain AACSB accreditation.
